Our 30 year reunion was held at Valicia's restaurant and party house located at the corner
of Spencerport and Long Pond Roads. Some of you out of towners may have remembered it as
Fornutaro's restaurant or if you want to go back to when we were in high school it was
Steve's Tree Top Inn.
The reunion was held in Valicia's newly added party room. Alumni were greeted at the
door by committee members and all of the girls received a small red Christian Dior bag.
The bags were donated by Debbie Ferris along with a beautiful basket filled with
Christian Dior Poison products that was part of the silent auction held that evening.
There was a limited open bar that evening along with a delicious array of appetizer
stations from stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta bread, chicken french and more.
The night was filled with plenty of picture taking, hugs, laughs, and fun.
For those of you who got there early you may have even gotten the opportunity to
talk with Mr. Boeff who took the time to stop in. A silent auction and raffle was
held that raised $850 which a portion of that money will go to the Gates Chili Alumni
Association to be used for a scholarship of a graduating senior. The committee would
like to thank the following for their kind donations: Dave Easton, Paul Berner,
Sam Caruso, Deerfield Country Club, Bryant & Stratton College, Tournedo's, Valicia's,
Tony Fischera, Brom Bianchi, Nancy Peers, Sleep City, The Catering Company, and
Debbie Ferris. Without your generosity we would not be able to do the things we do.
If anyone was inadvertently left out of this recognition please let us know.
Everyone that attended seemed to have a wonderful time. The only regret of many
was that more people didn't attend.
There are many alumni that live right here and why they don't want to come to spend
a few hours with some old friends is a big question on a lot of peoples minds.
It doesn't matter if you've lost your hair, or gained a few pounds, its all about
the friendships that were made and to go down memory lane to live and laugh once more.
