Brian Dickerson

Inducted 1996

When the honor of induction occurred, Brian was the senior editor of the Detroit Free Press in Detroit, Michigan. His career with the FreePress (one of the largest newspapers in the country) began in 1988 when he was frst appointed associate editor and the editor of the Detroit Free Press Sunday Magazine. Prior to that, he was employed by the Miami Herald as a business/legal affairs writer and as associate editor of "Tropic" the Sunday Magazine. Other significant professional accomplishments include being named to the editorial board of the Miami Herald in 1984 and being the youngest to ever attain that position. Brian has also served as President of the Sunday Magazine Editors Association, a professional association of Sunday Magazine editors in North America and Europe. In 1984 Brian was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Each year since 1993 he has been the keynote speaker at luncheons sponsored by the Free Press to honor the top 50 high school students in Michigan. Brian's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in History at Princeton University.

Maureen Prince

Inducted 1996

When Maureen was inducted she was the clinical coordinator for the Mary M. Parkes Asthma Center at Genesee Hospital. The center, which treats and offers support to asthmatic individuals, is named in honor of Maureen's good friend who died of an acute asthma episode in 1991. It is the first of its kind in Rochester, and was able to open largely in part due to her dedication and commitment along with support from the Parkes family and physicians. Maureen has also worked at Strong Memorial Hospital as a bone marrow transplant nurse, the Royal Chelsea Hospital in England in a 12 week volunteer nurse program, Visiting Nurse Service as a hospice and terminal care nurse, and at Genesee Hospital as a medical surgical nurse. Maureen's education includes an AAS in nursing from Monroe Community College. She also took courses at the University of Rochester and Nazareth College towards a goal of Masters in public health.


Dr. Brondon Christian

Inducted 1993

At the time of his induction to the Gates-Chili Hall of Fame Chris's accomplishments and certifications were as follows:
-Board Certified in Internal Medicine
-Board Eligible in Pulmonary Diseases
-Assistant District Physician for Gates-Chili Central School District
-Board Eligible in Sleep Study Research
-Residency fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine

His education includes:
-BA in Biology at the University of Rochester
-MD - St. George's University
-School of Medicine - Island of Grenada, West Indies.

Today, Chris is a Pulmonary Specialist and has his own private practice in Greece, NY.


Gennaro (Gino) Marcello

Inducted 2006

Gino is an entrepreneur who opened his own business, Sleep City
in Henrietta in 1997. Since then, his business has expanded to
four locations in the Rochester area. Not only has Sleep City
had an annual growth in sales over the past nine years,
but more importantly it has allowed Gino to continue to support
organizations in the Rochester area. More than $250,000.00 in
merchandise and monetary donations have been donated to such
organizations as S.P.C.C. (Society for Protection and Care of
Children), the American Red Cross, A.B.W. (Alternatives for
Battered Women) Kids, and our own Gates Chili booster clubs.
Gino was voted friendliest as a senior at Gates Chili High
School. He has coached C.Y.O. basketball, Chili youth baseball
and taught religious instruction at St. Pius Church. He was on
the Board of Directors for S.P.C.C., and is now on the Board
of Directors for the Churchville Youth Lacrosse Club. In 1986
Gino was voted N.Y.S. Retail Manager of the Year. He lives in
Chili with his wife of 27 years and their three children.
Gino states he will always treasure his years at Gates Chili.
The friendships that he made with both fellow students and
teachers have blessed his life. His advice to students is
to utilize every bit of your education and the people you
meet along the way as a stepping stone to your dreams, but
never forget your Gates Chili roots and those that were there
for you.

ALFRED J. DiMORA

Inducted 2010

Alfred J. DiMora is a graduate of Gates Chili High School Class
of 1975. He is self-employed as the founder and CEO of Clenet
Coachworks in Santa Barbara, California. In 1976, Mr. DiMora
came to California to design and build limited production luxury
cars at Clenet, and seven years later, he took control of Clenet
and formed the Sceptre Motorcar Company. His Sceptre won the
Best-of –Show Award at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 1978.
As Chief Automotive Designer at Clenet, he created the
Series IV and Series V Clenets. Altogether, over 580 Clenets
were produced and sold to royalty, celebrities, and other motor
enthusiasts around the world. In 1986, Mr. DiMora’s Clenet
was selected as the Official Centennial Car by President Reagan.
Therefore, he was honored at the Automotive Hall of Fame in
Michigan. Clenets are considered to be the “American Rolls
Royce” by Fortune Magazine. Mr. DiMora innovated in the areas
of chemical recycling, automobile and truck antifreeze
production and distribution, and hazardous waste management at
PRS, Inc. in Salt Lake City in the 1990s. He served as the
first non-chemist on the American Society of Testing and
Materials Committee, as well as created and marketed the first
ready-to-use 50/50 antifreeze, which has become a bestseller.
In 1997, Mr. DiMora founded Star Bridge Systems, Inc. to advance
reconfigurable computing technologies. Star Bridge has created
powerful, high-performance computer platforms and a new software
called VIVA for hypercomputing. Many Star Bridge customers
include NASA and National Cancer Institute. Mr. DiMora also
has helped in creating the Voyager, the world’s largest ferris
wheel. He was inducted into the Knights of Malta in 2001 as
SIR Alfred DiMora, is a member of Motor Press Guild, and the
Society of Automotive Engineers. Mr. DiMora has recently
developed “The DiMora Initiative,” which is an informed
perspective on the $34 billion bailout of GM, Ford, and Chrysler
and he is currently developing the first hand-built, $2 million
production automobile. Mr. DiMora is married with two step
children. He believes patience is important and to never react
quickly. He also believes pursuing your passion is the easiest
road to success and you must find strategies to win and build a
solid foundation. Mr. DiMora believes he had some of the best
times of his life at Gates Chili, where he loved football and
the lifelong friends he made. He leaves the following advice
to Gates Chili students, “Always believe in yourself, dream
big, work hard, and never give up!” He faced many challenges
such as dyslexia, lack of money and investors, and people who
did not believe in him. He states, “I never attended college,
so my training was from hands-on experience. I went to the
school of hard knocks….the thought of quitting never occurred
to me…I never looked back, only forward….I made my future
