Unfortunately he passed away on March 14, 2005. He was riding on a snowmobile and hit a log under the snow, the snowmobile became airborne and Joe struck a tree. Joe died instantly, he was not going fast and there were no foreign substance in his body. Joe was marked trail at 10:00 on a beautiful clear day. He was on state land, and he was the fourth in a line of five NYS Troopers/ Correction Officers, who took the day off to go riding. Joey was living in Wayne County and very happily married to Kim Noto, and he had one daughter Andrea 20, and two sons Anthony 8, and Nicholas 3. I've been fortunate enough to make all of the reunions the last from sunny Florida. Moved here about 3 years ago (outside of Clearwater) and love it.
